tests and projects

as time is winding down now I have lots of projects, homework, and tests to do. It is going to be a hectic last couple of weeks. and my 2 hardest tests are next monday in the first 2 time slots of the testing week. wish me luck.

end of semester

The end of the semester is approaching quickly. Some of my friends are graduating and moving away. Others are staying in Ames to work, and others are taking internships and will be back in the fall. It is kind of crazy knowing my time around here is winding down, even though I will be back for the fall semester, a lot of my friends will not be. It is getting to be that time when we start growing up and finding ourselves paying bills, and not having all that much free time just to kick back in the afternoon on any given day and have meaningless conversations with roommates and friends. And I have heard it from all too many people, "enjoy it while you can" or "I wish I could be back in college." And I know I will feel the same way when I get into the "real world" and it feels like my life revolves around work and all of the parts of life that go along with growing up. I guess for now, I can think about how I wish I didnt have homework and that I wish I was working and making money, but I will soak up the time I have left of my college career, enjoy it, and probably open another beer.

VEISHEA

Well veishea was a good time this week and weekend. The weather wasn't as accommodating as I wish it would have been, but we got through it. If these blogs are supposed to be about business, on saturday we went through 10 kegs at my house, and still made money. it was a crazy day and night.

classes

well ive had a pretty good week of classes so far. learning quite a bit of new information and then our group wrote a press release in english. i need to buckle down because coming next week i have 3 tests and they are not going to be easy. well see you next time!

greeting cards

we looked at the top 10 greeting cards on an ecard website. we were supposed to decide if they would be appropriate to send to a per son we were trying to hire in a previous assignment. none of them were, and we still spent an entire class period reading them and commenting on them. Then as a class we decided that none of the cards we viewed were appropriate to send to this audience. well thats all for now.

I got an internship

I interviewed at AGCO in Jackson, MN on Monday for an internship. On tuesday they called me and offered me the internship. Of course, i accepted it and im pretty pumped to be working there for the summer. i will be doing a lot of process analysis, that will be tough, but theyre paying me pretty good so i will have to earn my keep. by the way, AGCO makes farm equipment like sprayers and rogators and tractors. so yeah, thats my life.

internship

Here we go for round two of the blogging adventure. career fair was last week and i would say it went pretty well for me. i had two interviews, and i have a phone interview coming up sometime. and one of the companies invited me to their facility for a plant tour and final interview. im pretty pumped about that one. its in a good location, its a really good company, and it pays very well.

I'm pretty new at the whole blog idea, so here goes. My mom sent me some mail a couple days ago, and I received a letter from a biodiesel plant that I invested some money into. But the news wasn't good. The plant is not going to start production because they would produce at a loss, and they are going to wait until the market changes and they can produce at a profit. So this really sucks for me because I probably wont make money off this investment. Well, thats all for now.
